Fettuccine with Prosciutto and Peas

Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is having a recipe party!  I am a little late in getting this posted, but I thought I would share a new recipe tried just this week.  And, you may have noticed that I didn't use, you can use whatever pasta you have on hand.
Cook 12 oz. of pasta according to package
Melt 1 TBSP. butter in pan. Add 1 shallot, diced and cook until soft.
Add 2/3 c. heavy cream to the pan. Next, add your 8 slices of prosciutto that has been cut into small pieces.
Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Add 1 TBSP Lemon juice and zest.  Stir in 1/2 c. Fresh Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. Pour mixture over your pasta and you're good to go!

This recipe was so quick and easy....Great for a weeknight meal.  Serve with a green salad and garlic bread...YUMMY!

Be sure to head on over to Rhoda's for a few more inspirational cooking ideas!!

I'm not much on peas, but this looks soooo good! Also, I can do this with my gluten-free pasta; so I can do mine without peas and the family's with. Thanks!

This looks like something my family would enjoy. I love pasta b/c it's usually so easy. :) Your recipe looks simple and delicious! I'm so sorry I'm late returning your visit from Rhoda's party...had some bad news from the pediatrician's office yesterday, and just wasn't up to emailing. Thanks again for stopping by!
